Political Science Lecturer at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Dr Kwasi Amakye Boateng, says Ghana needs a political will to fight against corruption.
He made the statement on Akoma FM’s evening political show, GhanAkoma Tuesday, March 14, 2023.
Speaking with Aduanaba Kofi Asante Ennin, Dr Amakye Boateng averred without political will, Ghana cannot fight corruption in the country.
“If you really want to fight corruption you need the will and commitment which unfortunately till now, I have not seen any of such from any part of the country.
“We (Ghanaians) are at the forefront, we are supposed to show examples to other West African countries but we don’t have the will to do that unfortunately.
“The most important issue about fighting corruption is that we are so segmented in our societies by tribes, by religion, by region, by so
many other things that divide us,“ he said.
He called on all to support the fight against corruption.
